Medical Missions to Nepal 2008 In the spring of 2008, we will be taking another team to the mountains of Nepal. We will be leaving on April 19 and returning on May 3, 2008.
This will be village ministry, including medical outreach and personal ministry to the Buddhist population in the Mount Everest area.
If you would like to be a part of this ministry team to these precious people of Nepal, please contact us at Behrman Ministries right away.

Rhema India 2007 The days on the campus of Rhema during Thanksgiving week were anointed and blessed. It was wonderful to be with the 128 students and the staff. The Word of God is being taught and the men and women are being trained to go to the place of their calling and minister in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Each day in the classroom was a refreshing time and I was greatly blessed as the Spirit of God anointed the word as it went forth. Founder and director Thorat and his wife are very godly people with a great vision for the nation of India. I have known the dean of the school, Kevin Castro for many years and it was a wonderful blessing to be with him as well.

Domata India 2007 The week following Rhema, I was in Bangalore, India at the Domata Ministers training center. I was blessed and honored in being invited to preach at the Embassy of Hope Church on Sunday. The next five days, I taught from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. With 3 breaks and sometimes continued with prayer until after 5:00. Students were from India, Burma and Nepal and the US.
I met old friends from a previous visit and also friends from World Outreach Church in Tulsa. It was a wonderful time of ministry to these future pastors, evangelists and leaders who will return to their home churches to minister and also to plant new works all over India.

2007 Kathmandu Pastors Conference Pastors from across Nepal gathered in Kathmandu for the family conference May 8-10. Travel was difficult. A transportation strike delayed or prohibited the arrival of some. One pastor walked for 5 days and then rode the bus for a great distance. There were 80 pastors and wives in attendance. Ginger and I taught 6 hours each day. The people were so anxious to hear and put into practice Biblical principles as it relates to marriage and family. The Holy Spirit moved in the hearts of the people. We told the people at the end of the conference that the measure of success of any teaching is the change that it brings to the life of the hearer. We trust that in the weeks and years ahead, there will be changed hearts, changed homes and changed ministries as the Spirit of God does his wonderful work in their lives.

2007 Domata Chile In August, Ginger and I flew into Santiago, Chile and journeyed down to the coast to Viña del Mar where we taught in the Domata Ministers training school . The school is now in a new location at Con Con and the building also houses the church pastored by Joe and Kristine Bradford.
We had wonderful times in the classroom. As before, the students were hungry for the word of God and the Lord moved each day in the Bible School. Sunday was very special as we worshiped with our Chilean brothers and sisters and also ministered at their church.

Notes From Nepal Trip December 2006 Khumbu 2006
Our team of 16 arrived home from Nepal on December 10th. During the two week trip, there were 14 led by Scott Behrman, who made the trek from Lukla up the trail that leads to Everest Base Camp. Along the way, the two doctors and the nurse, assisted by the rest of the team, gave medical treatment to the Sherpa villagers. They also shared their Christian witness with the native people of the area. The medical team treated over 300 people and team members prayed the salvation prayer with over 200.
While the rest of the team ministered in the mountains, Trina and I held a pastors conference for the pastors in the Kailali and Kanchanpur regions of far west Nepal. What a blessing to minister side by side with my daughter. Between 175 and 200 pastors and wives attended the conference.
Notes From Nepal Trip April 2006 Windows of protection: A shootout between Maoist rebels and Security at the airport in Nepalgung left one police officer dead. We arrived there the next day with no incident. A few days after the conference ended, a grenade exploded outside the wall where we had met.
Seniors Conference: James Herbert and I had a wonderful time ministering in Western Nepal. Much of the time in the conference was spent in intercession and prayer for the Nation of Nepal, the king and leaders and for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the churches and in the nation. Just weeks after our prayer meetings, there have been major changes in the government of Nepal. After the conference we visited villages where pioneering efforts are taking place.
Return to the Khumbu Region: Our daughter Patsy and granddaughter Liliana met us in Kathmandu the following week. We flew into Lukla where we trekked up the trail that leads to Everest Base Camp. Three years ago, our team had ministered in that area and from our outreach, a new fellowship was formed in Lukla. From that fellowship, another church was opened up the trail in the village of Phakding. New believers are being added in both of those places and further on up the trail. The pastor there had baptized five people the day before our arrival. We were able to meet with some of the believers there. After Patsy preached, there was a wonderful time of ministry. Two young men received Christ.
Ministry in the Capital: Upon our arrival, our team ministered in churches and visited several of the outreaches that are going on in the Kathmandu Valley. It was a blessing to hear Patsy teach and to spend time with Liliana and hear her share the gospel in the orphanages. It was our privilege to share the gospel publicly and one on one. Souls were saved and believers were filled with the Holy Spirit.

Update: Hope for Children Home Dedicated Over a year ago when Patsy and Liliana Cameneti accompanied me to Nepal, a vision was birthed in their hearts to launch a home for orphans and needy children in that country.
After prayer and planning, we felt led to contact Nepalese nationals; D.K. Daniel and his wife Mona. For years, they have had a heart to start a home for deprived children. Guidelines were set and support was raised to make it a reality. A large house was rented and in April children began coming in.
When Ginger and I were there, we got to meet the seven charter children. It was wonderful to see their happy faces and observe the clean and orderly home where they will be loved and trained in the ways of our Lord.
On the 12th of May, we had the evening meal with family of D.K. and Mona and the children. Following the meal, we had a time of prayer and dedicated Hope for Children.
There are now nine children being cared for. At this point we still need support for four of them. The cost for each child is $72 per month. If you sense the leading of the Lord to help, your gift would be a blessing to one of these kids.
Here is a recent picture of Ginger with some of the girls from the Hope for Children home. Here is a picture of the children of Hope for Children made in September 2007.
Hope for Children While in Nepal with my daughter Patsy and granddaughter Liliana last March, we visited some orphanages in the city of Kathmandu. Following the trip, the Lord began to deal with Patsy’s heart concerning starting an orphanage in Nepal. She shared her thoughts with me and together we prayed about the prospect of sponsoring a home for the unfortunate children of that country. As a result of prayerful consideration, we are planning to start the childrens home within the next two months. In reference to the scripture Jeremiah 29:11, the home would be called Hope for Children.
Start up costs for the home will be $6500 which will include rent of a large house, beds, utensils, clothing, uniforms, tuition etc. We already have over $3100 to be applied to the start up costs. The cost for the care of each child will be $65 per month. As soon as we gather the funds for the start up costs and commitments for each of the children, we will get things started. If you sense the Lord directing you to help, please send your contributions to us with the designation to Hope for Children.

Bible Schools in South America 2006 I spent two weeks in Arequipa, Peru and Viña del Mar, Chile ministering to students in the Domata Minister's Training Schools there.
There were refreshing times in the classrooms as I ministered on the subjects of "The Ministers Call" and "Ministers Character." I had the privilege of sharing with 47 ministers of Arequipa on a special time in fellowship and the word. On the Sunday between locations, I ministered in one of the services at Comunidad Cristiana, a 4000 member church in Arequipa.
Viña del Mar, a beautiful city on the coast of Chile, was the location of the second week of ministry to the Domata students. It is wonderful to connect with the people and view the response to the word that will change lives. While there, I shared the vision for missions with the members of the church which is pastored by Joseph and Kristine Bradford. The church is now involved in supporting missions outside the country of Chile.

Accra, Ghana
In September and October, I taught at the Domata Bible School in Accra, Ghana. This was my very first trip to the continent of Africa.
Missionary efforts have been going on there for many years and in Accra there are many Christians and Churches led by the native believers.
The students were so responsive. The Holy Spirit did a deep and special work in the hearts of the students there throughout the week. Here is a picture of me with the students.![]()
News from Southern Asia
When in Nepal in March, a new fellowship began as a result of our outreach. We have received word that workers have returned to the location to disciple the new Christians. Several of the believers have received the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the work is growing.Times in Nepal are now very difficult. Maoist terrorists are doing everything possible to wreak havoc within the country. They are forcing young people to join their ranks. Some churches have been burned and Christians, especially the pastors, have had to flee from their villages. Daily there are bombings and shootings. An airport in Western Nepal that I have frequently used was bombed in November. The same day a Maoist was killed in the same town where our funding has built a church.
In difficult times, the church gets tougher. The body of Christ in Nepal continues to grow. We request your prayers for Nepal and for the churches there.
2003 Year End Report
The year was 1999. Many in the Western World were locked in dread of the new year when Y2K would terminate life as we know it. Far from the technology and its complications, Steve Ivie, my companion in ministry, and I were on our way to visit a tribal village in the far west region of Nepal where our ministry had sent money to purchase land for a church made up of new believers.
The driver of our jeep stopped in a small village near the game reserve in Bardia so we could have a soda before traveling further. A shy little girl caught my eye. When I showed my camera, she fled but later returned. I was finally able to get her picture. This is her in the photo below.

Our involvement in Bardia would not just end with a refreshment in travel while going on a missionary assignment. We recently received word that a new church had been started in Bardia. The young and growing congregation had some land but would need financial assistance in putting up a new building. Good News!!! Through your giving, we were able to send the needed funds.
Throughout the year 2003, your gifts have supported us and have helped us to travel to Asia and Africa where I have ministered in Ministerial Training Schools. We have been able to financially assist in the construction of six new churches, give support to four native pastors and purchase a motorcycle for a pastor. Offerings were sent to print evangelistic literature and Bibles. Through the outreach of our team in Nepal, we saw a new fellowship of believers planted. The ministry also has regularly supported home mission effort here in America.
None of the above reports would have taken place without your partnership. Truly we are Laborers Together in the work of the Lord, both in outreach to the lost and the training of those who will minister to their own people.
We sincerely desire God´s richest and fullest for you in the forthcoming year. Christ´s coming is nearer. Let´s be about the Father´s business. Let us serve him in joyfulness and readiness.
