Three weeks in Nepal!!!
I have just returned from a great trip to Nepal. For two weeks the team of five men and four women shared the word in villages, churches, in Hindu temples and in the streets. They preached, taught and distributed literature and bibles and did personal evangelism.
Team Highlights
- A powerful move of the Spirit in a mountain church.
- Souls saved in a bus stop, on the streets and trails and in Hindu temples
- The ministry of kindness opening the doors of utterance as the ladies ministered in villages and churches.
- Skits and the ministry of the word resulting in souls coming to Christ.
- The broadening and deepening of the missionary vision in the lives of the team members.
Personal Notes
While the team shared in the mountains and hills, Steve Ivie and I traveled to the far west. It was a true adventure.
- Being led by Tharu "angels" on bicycles through dark trails and primitive villages.
- Arriving hours after dark to find nearly 50 new believers waiting to hear us preach.
- Sleeping in a Tharu home and arising to preach again the next morning.
- Visiting villages and pastors where offerings have been sent to buy land and build churches.
- God helping us make the rugged journey with all forward gears in our vehicle gone except 2nd.
- Seeing over 250 young people stand to their feet to answer the call of God to reach their nation.
- Joining a team of three other men to conduct a Pastors and Leaders conference in Kathmandu.
- See the attendance grow from the expected 400 to over 850 leaders from Nepal, India and Bhutan.
- Anointing for teaching, preaching and divine impartations into the lives of those who came.
It is awesome to see these precious leaders who have come out of spiritual darkness and have made such strong commitment, some even hazarding their lives, to reach their own people for the sake of the gospel. While we share the things we have learned with them, I find that I am blessed immensely as I observe their humility and their readiness to do the will of the Lord.
Thank you for your prayers for our team and for the ministry that took place. The Lord truly blessed.
