What Would It Be Like?

What Would It Be Like?

“It has always been my ambition to preach the gospel where Christ was not known, so that I would not be building on someone else’s foundation.  Rather, as it is written: ‘Those who were not told about him will see, and those who have not heard will understand.'”  – Romans 15:20

Take a moment and imagine what it would be like if you lived in a part of the world where there were no Bibles, no churches, no Christians.  1/3 of the world around 3 billion people live in areas of the world who have never heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Behrman Ministries equips and trains indigenous pastors and leaders in targeting and engaging these unreached peoples.  Our objective is to mobilize these leaders and empower them to plant churches among the unreached.  We are committed to developing a church planting movement that is self supported, indigenous, and self multiplying.

We would love to talk with you more and share how you and your church/business can connect with this special work in distant regions of the world as well as wherever unreached people groups may reside.

Here are some very practical steps to be involved in the harvest field of (UPGs) unreached people groups:

And missions happens when there is a clear, participatory revelation of Jesus in the midst of God’s people.  Now, we can’t help but to tell others what Jesus means to us… and what He has done for us…  That’s mission… and for this mission be according to God’s plan…. as we see in Act’s 1:8…. It must be….

Monocultural and also cross-cultural…

In other words, going to your Jerusalem, your Judea, and your Samaria and the uttermost parts of the earth.

The primary purpose of the Church in the earth is to fulfill the mission and passion of God to extend His kingdom and His glory into ALL THE EARTH.

So the Church is to be engaged in reaching it’s Jerusalem, Samaria and the ends of the earth SIMULTANEOUSLY……. at the same time.

Now this is a key difference between a mobilized church and an institutional one.  The church is not to divide it’s tasks, into departments or programs, but it’s to engage the world as Jesus would have us to do.

But some resist this by thinking they must first reach their own city.  Their own region, their own people….. before they engage in reaching the unreached… this is an error.

If we think that we are to engage one area until we have exhausted all efforts to reach it, then we will never finish the task…

Why do I say this?  Because, never in all history has anyone’s Jerusalem been fully converted…

So, what is a mobilized church?  It has these following expression of church life….

  1. It is a praying church.

– Who do you pray for?  The church can adopt at least one unreached people group for intercession, study about them…

  1.  It is also a giving church.

The church can give at least 10% of all of its receipts to cross-cultural missions. Wouldn’t it be great if it gave 25% or even 30% or even more…

  1.  It is also a ministering church.

This is when at least 10% of all adult members are involved in cross-cultural ministry both locally and abroad.

  1.  It is also a sending church.

Imagine at least 1% of all adults in the church are commissioned into full-time cross-cultural missions, to the ends of the earth.

  1.  And it is an Assisting Church.

Helping at least one other congregation engage in cross-cultural missions.

  1.  And it is a cooperating church.

It’s working and cooperating with other congregations, and agencies and and organizations in order to fulfill the mission’s mandate.

We have some great resources and tools that can help you develop a Acts 1:8 culture in your church.  We would love the opportunity to talk with you more about this exciting ministry that is so close to the heart of the Father God.  We are committed to empower the church to take the Gospel where it has never gone before, making the Great Commission become the Great Completion.  Together we can do this!
